Paramount+ continues to drop action-packed thriller-dramas, and MobLand is one of the streaming network’s best new shows of this genre to watch in 2025.
Set in London, MobLand is a present-day Guy Ritchie mob drama, with two families — the Harrigans and the Stevensons — battling each other. The series is portrayed from the Harrigans’ perspective and stars Pierce Brosnan as the patriarch of the Harrigans, Helen Mirren as the matriarch, their son is played by Paddy Considine, and the consigliere is Tom Hardy.
Regardless of how preposterous the plot becomes, Richtie’s distinctive cinematic style, including speed ramps, intercutting, and jump cuts, combined with cliffhanger endings most weeks — leaves viewers always wanting to see what happens next.
In numerous scenes, Pierce Brosnan wears a 39 mm Sedna Gold Omega Constellation Globemaster (Ref. 130.53.39.21.02.001) on an alligator strap. Helen Mirren wears a two-tone lady’s Omega Constellation on a bracelet. Tom Hardy is seen wearing a discontinued solid yellow gold Rolex GMT-Master II (Ref. 116718LN-0001) on an Oyster bracelet throughout the show. These are classically styled timepieces that appear well chosen for each character.
Paddy Considine, however, wears a Hublot Classic Fusion, which does not mesh with the above-mentioned watches, and I suspect this might be intentional. Perhaps the choice of a Hublot is suggesting something about the character’s taste, or it could simply be product placement. That said, wristwatches are clearly well-considered choices but are not part of the plot of MobLand the way they are in Ritchie’s other action drama series The Gentlemen on Netflix.
