Equipped with an LED display and powered by a quartz movement this watch comes in a retro-style case faithful to the original Yema 1970s LED model.
The watch case is made of stainless steel (or stainless steel with gold plating) and measures a svelte 37.5 mm by 10.5 mm, with a 42.50 mm lug-to-lug. A stainless steel bracelet, that measures 20 mm at the lugs, has a unique adjustable sliding clasp that fits most wrists.
A mineral crystal protected the RED LED display with a stainless steel screw-down caseback. Water-resistance is rated to 100 meters.
The Yema LED remains in standby mode to ensure low battery consumption so you have to press a button on the side of the case to activate the hours/minutes display on-demand. A second pressure will reveal the current date (day, month, year), and a third one the seconds.
Interestingly, Yema refers to the on-demand function requiring the wearer to activate the display manually as “…part of the pleasure in owning and using one.”
The Yema LED is available for $249 in steel (Ref. YMHF1575-AM) or $279 in gold-plated steel (Ref. YMHF1575-1AM) via Yema.com starting today.
