On October 17th Audemars Piguet unveiled the Royal Oak Offshore Michael Schumacher in Berlin, and last night, they held a small party at their flagship boutique on 57th Street in New York to celebrate the new collection.

The Royal Oak Offshore Michael Schumacher comes in a 44 mm diameter case; in either titanium, 18K pink gold (pictured above) or platinum (pictured below) — all come with extra-hard, highly scratch resistant Cermet bezels (secured by titanium attachment studs and 8 polished stainless steel bezel screws). All three variations have micro-blasted titanium pushpiece guards, with pushpieces composed of a polished black ceramic base. Each is topped by a micro-blasted cap and crown in metal matching their respective cases (except for the platinum model which has a white gold cap and crown).

The dial on all three versions has an anthracite colored galvanic center with ” Méga Tapisserie ” pattern, applied hours markers and an anthracite colored inner bezel ring with tachymeter scale, 2 blue stars (Benetton) and 5 red stars (Ferrari) symbolizing Schumacher’s 7 world champion titles.

All versions are powered by the AP in-house caliber 3126/3840 self-winding chronograph movement which consists of 365 components, 59 jewels, runs at 21,600 vph (3Hz) and has a 55-hour power reserve. Oscillating weight in 22K gold, with ceramic ball bearings and bidirectional winding for increased efficiency. Cam and lever operated chronograph. Bevels of the bridges are diamond graved. Inverted snailing on bridges. Functions include hours, minutes, small seconds, chronograph and date.

Water-resistance is 100 meters. Grey rubber strap with titanium pin buckle, grey rubber strap with pink gold pin buckle, and blue rubber strap with platinum pin buckle. Titanium model limited to 1,000 pieces, gold model limited to 500 pieces and platinum model limited to 100 pieces.
