Casio recently announced a collaboration watch in partnership with the popular Netflix series Stranger Things.

The Casio x Stranger Things A120WEST-1A watch represents a modern iteration of the company’s classic A120 reference from the 1980s, combined with a design that pays homage to the “Upside Down” — which is an alternate dimension that exists in parallel to the human world (within the fictional Stranger Things television series).

Casio gave the retro A120WEST-1A a design theme inspired by the show, including an Upside Down graphic surrounding the digital time display, with a Demogorgon character just below the display and above the buttons. Functionally, the large front-mounted buttons control the time, a full auto calendar, stopwatch, daily alarm, and more.

When the LED light button is pressed, the show name is revealed in upside-down lettering with an ominous fiery glow, implying the presence of another world on the other side. The caseback and translucent purple resin strap band are designed with eerie vines stretching out from the underworld, evoking the connection between the two worlds. Additionally, the watch packaging boasts illustrations of the show’s cast of young characters and the Stranger Things logo.

“The 80s and Casio are synonymous – so joining forces with Netflix on a Stranger Things collaboration timepiece was a natural fit,” said Tadashi Shibuya, Vice President of Casio’s Timepiece Division. “We are thrilled to bring fans a retro timepiece that will not only turn heads but also transcend the upside down.”

The Casio x Stranger Things A120WEST-1A will be available on June 21 for a retail price of $99.95.
