Edifice debuted two new formula one themed watches called the ECB2000 Series today.

The ECB2000 Series is referred to as the “Sospensione” which means suspension in Italian and the naming is not just superficial. The four-arm lug configuration, which secures the strap or bracelet to the case, is modeled after the double-wishbone suspension used on formula race cars, making the design element both visually and functionally important to the watch.

Delivered with a black ion-plated case and bezel, each measuring 47.8 mm x 11.3 mm (51 mm lug-to-lug),  there are two references, one with a carbon fiber look bezel, polyurethane strap, and a carbon-fiber-reinforced resin case (Ref. ECB2000PB-1A) and the other (Ref. ECB2000DC-1A ) with a gray and black ion-plated case (without the carbon-fiber reinforced case) on a steel bracelet.

The ECB2000 Series features a solar-powered quartz movement with a 1/100-second (24-hour) stopwatch, date display, 38-city world time, daily alarm, full auto-calendar, and more. It’s also equipped with Smartphone Link technology which pairs the watch with the Casio Watches app via Bluetooth, to automatically set the correct time, and time zone, depending on the user’s current location in up to 300 cities worldwide. Additionally, with the app, you can record stopwatch data for up to 200 laps.

Each watch has a mineral crystal protecting the dial, a steel caseback secured by four screws, and a depth rating of 100 meters. The Edifice ECB2000 Sospensione is available in two variations, each retailing for $300. (Ref. ECB2000PB-1A – black steel/carbon fiber – polyurethane strap, Ref. ECB2000DC-1A – gray/black steel – steel bracelet.)
