Prior to Ed Sheeran’s Subtract tour, Casio created a special G-Shock for Sheeran.

The tour which was Sheeran’s fifth tour, took place in England and the United States, running from March 2023 until September 2023, and Sheeran was often spotted wearing the G-Shock above during the tour. However, it was not created exclusively for him. Instead, it’s actually made for an upcoming collaboration between Ed Sheeran, G-Shock, and Hodinkee.

Sheeran is often seen wearing brand-name streetwear and is a serious watch collector. He’s been seen wearing Patek Philippe watches, Rolex watches, and even the MoonSwatch — and heard singing/rapping about them as well —  so it comes as no surprise that he would collaborate with a well-known watch brand like G-Shock. If you want to see a broad range of his watch collection, watch the four-part Disney documentary: Ed Sheeran: The Sum of It All. Practically every scene he’s wearing something different on his wrist.

The G-Shock Ref. 6900 Subtract by Ed Sheeran comes in a 50 mm x 18.7 mm resin case with a yellow dial, case, strap, with custom graphics.

Apart from the special colorway, the watch offers the standard DW6900 design and is powered by a quartz movement with standard functions including the time, date, 1/100th of a second stopwatch, a countdown timer, alarm, flash alert, EL backlight, and 12/24 time formats.

A mineral crystal protects the dial, the caseback is solid, and water resistance is rated down to 200 meters.

The G-Shock Ref. 6900 Subtract by Ed Sheeran will be available for purchase for $185 at Hodinkee on October 18th, 2023.
