Then you might think the Jacob & Co. x Bugatti Calandre Table Clock is insanely expensive.

Inspired by the Bugatti Type 41 Royale, watchmaker Jacob & Co. created a table clock that resembles the front of the Type 41, including the car company’s signature radiator horseshoe grille, which acts as the dial.

Made by French crystal maker Lalique, it surrounds the clock on the top and sides and features a Dancing Elephants sculpture. A 30 mm, 288-facet Jacob-cut red gemstone sits at the top, like a cherry on a sundae.

The clock is powered by a 189-component JACAM58 hand-wound movement that displays hours and minutes, along with a vertical flying tourbillon at 6 o’clock, good for 8 days of power reserve when fully wound.

Limited to 99 pieces — step aside Hodinkee Travel Clock ($5,900) — the Jacob & Co. x Bugatti Calandre Table Clock retails for an eye-popping $240,000.
