Independent watchmaker Konstantin Chaykin has created a new limited edition skeletonized version of the original Joker timepiece.

The Joker Fiat Lux is presented in a 42 mm x 12.1 mm stainless steel case and features a fixed bezel engraved with the symbols of a “five of a kind” poker hand. The dial has been skeletonized, with silver plating, black coating, Clous de Paris guilloche motif decorations, and multi-layer varnish coating, however, there are no high-end decorations like Geneva stripes or anglage.

Powered by a modified ETA 2824-2, this is not a manufacture movement but does utilize an in-house module, made in Russia. The 4Hz automatic caliber K.07-0 measures 31.5 mm x 7.6 mm, has 84 total components, and 33 jewels. Winding the mainspring is automatic via a specially designed rotor that resembles sun rays, like the skeletonized motif on the dial. The watch can also be wound by hand and has the stock 38-hour power reserve. The movement drives the hour and minute hands and moonphase indicator.

The Joker Fiat Lux is about 15 grams lighter than the non-skeletonized version and is available in a limited edition of 38 pieces for China. Comes with a black alligator leather strap with green calfskin lining.
