Dating back to 1917, and worn by the likes of Duke Ellington, Clark Gable, Ingrid Bergman, Andy Warhol, Muhammed Ali, Truman Capote, Catherine Deneuve — the Tank is Cartier’s most iconic timepiece. Cartier made a new version with a throwback art deco aesthetic, which debuted at Watches & Wonders, called the Tank Louis Cartier. Available in 18K yellow gold with burgundy-colored accents, or in 18K pink gold with a navy blue-color theme, both versions have an art deco dial with gilded accents for an elegant dressy look. The case measures 33.7 mm across and 6.6 mm high, which is considered the large version of the Tank. Inside is a hand-wound manufacture caliber 1917 MC. Available as a limited production series. $13,100 

FP Journe Octa 2021 Limited Series

François-Paul Journe is a legendary independent watchmaker that produces timepieces that have become incredibly collectible in recent years. To celebrate the brand’s 20th year of producing the Octa model, F.P. Journe has introduced a limited series of 99 pieces. The Octa Automatique is presented in a 40 mm platinum case with a rhodium-plated brass movement that drives the hours, minutes, small seconds, date, and power reserve indications. The dial is made of yellow gold and has a unique frosted surface that’s been completely finished by hand. The winding rotor is crafted in red gold and has a manually applied guilloche pattern. $60,000

Ulysse Nardin Diver X Skeleton

At Watches & Wonders this month, Ulysse Nardin unveiled a new version of their Diver X timepiece. The new Diver X Skeleton is like past models, but now with a large blue PVD treated X in place of the traditional dial, combined with a skeletonized automatic movement. The 44 mm titanium case has also been treated with a blue PVD coating, with a unidirectional rotating dive bezel that’s made from Carbonium (a type of forged carbon). The power reserve is 96-hours and the escape wheel, anchor, and balance are made of silicon. Available with either a blue or orange rubber strap. Limited to 175 pieces. $22,200

G-Shock Royal Navy Frogman GWFA1000RN-8A

This month, G-Shock announced a new watch in collaboration with the Royal Navy. Inspired by the UK Navy’s famous Queen Elizabeth Aircraft carrier, the Royal Navy Frogman (Ref. GWFA1000RN-8A) comes with a light gray-colored case and strap that resemble the hull of the ship, and highlighted by Royal Navy red, white, and navy blue. The metal strap keeper is engraved with the Royal Navy logo, and the caseback has G-Shock’s iconic frog holding an anchor. The GWFA1000 is water-resistant to 200 meters and features Bluetooth connectivity that allows you to review diving logs on a smartphone through the Connected App (both iOS and Android). With the dive log, the user can mark dive locations, time, date, number of dives, plus include photos. With Tide Point, the user can select from a preset list of some of the world’s most famous dive points or set their own. $1,000
