What’s become an annual tradition for us, and for other publications, influencers, and consumers — is predicting Rolex and Tudor releases.
Repetitive watch designs are common across the entire watch industry, which is not necessarily a good thing. It does however provide a sense of certainty when buying timepieces from a brand like Rolex, Omega, Audemars Piguet, and so on because you know the old model and the new model are going to look similar, regardless of age. And nobody’s catalog is more consistent than Rolex, with essentially the same models being offered year after year.
Whether you’re a beginner, enthusiast, casual observer, aspiring collector, dealer, or experienced collector, you likely know what models Rolex makes, and what color variations they come in, barring minimal evolutionary changes. Perhaps this is why predicting what Rolex will introduce each year is so fun, despite the fact that most of the new watch introductions are merely updates to existing models.
Here are some of our Rolex and Tudor Predictions 2023, with no claim that we think any of these will come true — this is simply what we hope might become true, what we speculate might be introduced, and what others suggest could be announced.
