Urwerk’s latest timepiece has the unmistakable look the brand is known for — but this particular design is distinctly different.

The UR-112 Aggregat is housed in a titanium case with a matte black and gunmetal case and reminds me a little of the flask they introduced in 2017, which is a good thing.

Both the colors and the exterior aesthetic are quite attractive to me, and the time display is easier to read than most Urwerks. The company’s esoteric designs often don’t resonate with me because the legibility of the time is often impaired in favor of the form of the watch but with the Aggregat, Urwerk delivers on both form and function.

Cylindrical, luminescent, jumping digital hours and minutes are displayed through a sapphire window on the horizontal plane of the case — like with a driver’s watch — and on top is a ridged metal cover that can be popped up using the dual sliding levers on the left and right case flanks, to reveal digital seconds and power reserve displays.

I’ve not seen this in person, although judging from the photos — it looks pretty good.

The Urwerk UR-112 Aggregat is limited to 25 pieces and the retail price is $278,000.
