A rare Rolex Daytona Paul Newman Ref. 6263 “Oyster Sotto” 1969, photographed at the Phillips’ New York auction house in October 2019. Interestingly, this was pulled from the auction, and it was likely because the entire crown and stem could be pulled entirely out of the case, meaning it needed a presumably lengthy vintage watch service, at minimum. That was a good move from Phillips not to sell a knowingly broken timepiece.
