Hublot and the most-streamed French artist, DJ Snake, have created a crazy-looking limited-edition timepiece that reflects the lighting seen at his performances.

Distinguished by its Iiridescent polished and satin-finished titanium case — which measures 45 mm x 15.45 mm —  the Big Bang DJ Snake 2021 Limited Edition is topped with a matching iridescent polished and satin-finished titanium bezel.

“DJ Snake has such a huge presence in today’s musical landscape that he needs no introduction. The electronic music star first came to public attention with the track ‘Turn Down For What,’ released in 2013. Since then, the hits have racked up: ‘Lean On,’ ‘Loco Contigo,’ ‘Let Me Love You’ with Justin Bieber and ‘Selfish Love’ with Selena Gomez. Diplo, Kanye West, Lil Jon…the collaborations keep on coming! He became the first French artist to have two songs with over a billion plays on Spotify, and the awards have rained down: Billboard Music Awards, MTV Music Awards, and no fewer than three NRJ Music Awards,” according to Hublot.

The bezel and six titanium components of the case features a “Newton’s Rings” effect, which is created in a similar way to a common black PVD treatment, but with a much different everchanging multi-color iridescence appearance.

Gradation of the colors varies across every timepiece, making each unique to its respective owner. DJ Snake designed the cut-outs on the outer edge of the bezel, making this limited edition instantly recognizable, in case the colorful appearance was not enough.

On the upper section of the semi-transparent sapphire dial, there’s a world map in the same colors as the case, which is a nod to Snake’s world concert tours. The lower section is treated with a contrasting black fumé finish. Through the skeletonized hands and semi-transparent dial, you can view the in-house HUB1242 Unico automatic movement, which boasts a column-wheel-equipped flyback chronograph and a power reserve of 72 hours. The movement operates at 4Hz, 38 jewels, and 330 total components.

The Big Bang DJ Snake is delivered with two straps that have a patented “One Click” quick-change system. One strap is made from rubber with gray, black, and purple camouflage, which resembles the case colors. The other strap is also rubber but has a more traditional black ribbed surface. Each is fitted with a black PVD titanium and iridescent titanium deployant buckle. The water resistance is rated at 100 meters. (Ref. 411.NN.0179.RX.DJS21)
