Season 7 represents the end of Showtime’s Billions series, and while leading character Bobby Axelrod left the show last season, he’s back for the final season.
Played by Damian Lewis, Bobby Axelrod is a fictional hedge fund-owning billionaire, who has almost exclusively worn Audemars Piguet wristwatches in previous seasons (and some Cartier).
However, in season 7 episode 2, he’s seen in numerous scenes, wearing a far less-known brand than Audemars Piguet or Cartier. Instead, it appears pretty clearly that he’s wearing a Bremont Jaguar MKII chronograph with a panda dial (white dial with black counters) and a blue leather racing strap (with large holes in it).
Bremont is a British-based watch brand that makes a quality timepiece, though, it’s not what you would think of when you think of a billionaire who flys in private jets and helicopters, owns a penthouse in New York and a castle in Europe, and gets driven around or has a Lamborghini Urus at their disposal pretty much everywhere they go.
An Audemars Piguet — which Axelrod wore in most episodes through the entire series — is about right for a Billionaire. It makes you wonder if Bremont paid for the product to be placed in the show, which if I had to guess, I’d say yes. That’s not to say that Audemars Piguet or Cartier did not pay for previous placements on Billions.
Whether the watch was chosen by Lewis, the wardrobe department, or Showtime’s paid placement team — it’s what’s on Axelrod’s wrist to finish out the series.
