G-Shock recently announced the limited edition 6900 Series to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the DW-6900 that debuted in 1995. The new G-Shock Triple Graph Dial GM-6900, like the watch it’s based on and which is nicknamed the “Third Eye” the watch most notably has three analogy indications in the circular subdials above its digital display, will be available in three variations: red, gold, and silver.

For this special anniversary series, there are a number of unique design features.

First, the digital display is a negative type LCD which means it’s basically white on black. Second, the resin case incorporates glass fibers to increase strength. And finally, the GM-6900 receives a new metal bezel for the first time ever. The bezel undergoes about 20 forging processes, then cutting, and polishing. The surface is polished to a mirror finish. The front “G” button, which controls the backlight, is also metallic. Even the dial features polished metallic paint to match the bezel and button.
