Watches and Wonders Geneva starts next week and will host a record 54 watch brands, exhibiting from Tuesday, April 9, 2024, to Monday, April 15, 2024.

Per usual, many other watch companies are preparing to launch wristwatches adjacent to Watches and Wonders, in Geneva physically, and the ether.

Savvy watch companies have scaled back their product launches in recent years, favoring core best-selling models, iterative changes, smaller cases, and efficiency over flooding the market with large-case watches and too many options. We’ll soon see if that trend continues or if companies will make any major changes to their lineups.

Breitling recently announced the new analog-digital Aerospace Professional B70 Orbiter — in a 43 mn lightweight titanium case — and even though it’s powered by a rare ultra-accurate Superquartz movement, at nearly five thousand dollars, there are not likely many consumers lining up the way they are for a three hundred dollar quartz-based bioceramic model.

Speaking of bioceramic, the Swatch Group is rumored to be launching yet another MoonSwatch Snoopy edition with a black dial to complement the feminine all-white model. Will it be an exact reverse of the white version, or will Swatch be more creative with the design?

Blancpain finally released a regular 42 mm model of the Fifty Fathoms last month, which should appease those consumers who have been asking for just such a watch, for a long time.

Ollech & Wajs released a new mechanical chronograph, that costs approximately $2,500, called the Rallychron last month.

We recently published a full photography review of Casio’s remake of its original Casiotron Qw02 (which is already sold out). For those interested in getting one at retail, there may be a second, contemporary version, of the Casiotron expected to debut soon.

The 1916 Company announced a management reshuffle and two new locations, bringing the growing multi-brand, authorized Rolex retailer’s store count to over 20 worldwide (14 in the US), by 2025.

In case you missed it, here are our 2024 predictions for Rolex and Tudor.
