TAG Heuer has released an interesting new limited edition carbon version of its Monza chronograph.

In addition to featuring a carbon case and bezel, the Monza Flyback Chronometer has a skeletonized dial and a COSC-certified flyback version of the Heuer caliber 02 chronograph movement, which has an 80-hour power reserve.

Presented in a 42 mm case, which is approximately 16 mm thick, the Monza Flyback Chronometer offers a unique option for those wanting to spend top dollar on a TAG Heuer. While the watch is way above the normal price range for TAG Heuer, they’ve at least given it a unique case and added flyback functionality as well as a skeletonized dial.

Lume has been applied to the hour and minute hands, the eleven indices, and in an unusual design choice, they lumed the entire date wheel which acts as the 9 o’clock hour marker, which looks cool and makes the dial more legible at night.

For the same money, there are a lot of choices, which likely explains why the watch is a limited edition because it’s targeted at someone that’s not as concerned with the price, or who is a diehard TAG Heuer fan.
