In conjunction with the debut of the new 2019 Porsche 911 Speedster, Porsche Design has created a special timepiece exclusively for Porsche owners. The 911 Speedster Chronograph features a Flyback-Chronograph powered by the Werk caliber 01.200 movement (developed in-house according to Porsche Design). The watch features Speedster design elements such as a carbon fiber dial, a rotor modeled after the Speedster center lock wheel and genuine Porsche interior leather and thread for the perforated black leather strap with red stitching.
G-Shock’s popular Full Metal 5000 collection will soon be available in blue IP-treated and black IP-treated metal case versions, on black resin straps. These are similar to the steel model with resin strap that debuted December 2018 and which retails for $400.
Milan’s IWC boutique recently announced a new limited edition of the Portugieser Chronograph Rattrapante that comes in a 41 mm stainless steel case with a blue dial, gold hands and markers, and an engraving of the Sforza family crest on the caseback, which is the symbol of Milan. The movement is IWC’s manually-wound in-house caliber 76240 with a has a power reserve of 44 hours. Limited to 150 pieces.
This Hamilton’s vintage-inspired Intra-Matic Chronograph is now available with an all-new blue and white dial. The watch comes in the same 40 mm x 14.45 mm stainless steel case and retails for the same price ($2,195) as the Hamilton Intra-Matic Chronograph introduced last year.
This year, at Baselworld 2019, Gucci introduced an all-new unisex watch collection called the Grip. Powered by a Swiss quartz movement, the watch has three digital apertures which display the hours, minutes, and date, respectively, via rotating discs. The Grip construction features a unique one-piece steel dial and case and is available in either a steel or PVD-plated yellow gold finish (as well as precious gem versions) and are engraved with Gucci’s signature interlocking G logo pattern. Available in either 35 mm or 38 mm diameter versions, with a choice of steel bracelet or green or Bordeaux calf leather strap with matching metal buckle.
